The question of how much it costs to hire a ghost writer really depends on a number of factors including the writer and the piece of work in question.

For example, to write a memoir, a ghost writer who has been previously published may charge you upwards from $50 per hour. Or, they may charge you a flat fee starting at about $10,000 for a finished book.
